What If Today…You Knew You Were Enough?

“You can be the most beautiful person in the world, and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you yourself don’t know it, all of that doesn’t matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth,  every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away, It’s not like you have forever, so don’t waste any of your seconds, don’t throw even one of your moments away.” ~ C . Joybell C

What if today you knew that what was inside of you, your thoughts, desires, dreams, passions, everything was enough? Enough for you? Enough for God?

No more searching.

No more wondering.

No more withholding.

No more complaining about other people, how they treat you or understand you.

Just being.

Being 100% you.

With no expectation of any of it being returned by anyone.

Because you know something nobody else might know about you:

You are a child of God.

You have infinite worth.

You will always be worthy of His love.

And you will know that His love is enough.

His light shines inside of you and is what other people see when they look at you.

Keep that light burning.

Because today you are enough to Him.

  1. I tend to overestimate my value and the value of both my giving and my contribution. [big smile]

I also tend to think I’ve done enough, given enough, etc.

So I’ll sip this generous and steaming cup of rah, gladly. Thank you, Bets.

    • It’s wonderful to be alive.
You shine brightly, Stan. And it’s okay to believe that and completely enjoy it. There’s no other Stan roaming the earth or the wide expanse of the universe. Cool huh?

  2. When Tiger Woods tees off someone invariably yells, “You’re the man!”
Is there any reason not to say the same to yourself?
The voice in my head is always rambling on about something. Often it is telling me what I should be writing. Sometimes it is singing badly. The rest of the time I like to fill the void imagining success. There just isn’t any room for negative thoughts.
I’m a firm believer that what we tell ourselves has a very good chance of coming true. That being said, why not tell myself I’m going to be a best selling author?

    • Brian, I was given the gift of two amazing parents who never messed with the thoughts I had of myself. They only noticed me and repeated what they saw. They saw the good, the beautiful, and the true. I was blessed.
So, I never struggle with self-worth. Seems you don’t either. 🙂
My demons come from outside of me. My mind is the battlefield where the conflicting voices fight for ground. I’m getting better recognizing the difference between the two and the damage that one does if I let it.
Two steps forward, one step back. Every day. I’m okay with that.
      You’re a peach stopping by, Brian. Have a good one..or two! 🙂
